Some great new Brunch items, and gorgeous pictures of them…
Ben’s been making some pretty significant changes to the Brunch menu, for Spring, taking into account what’s in season. The new menu has some seriously delicious, light healthy items on it. There are a lot of vegetarians in the neighborhood, and we want to make sure we give them menu items that they can come back to again and again without getting bored. And sometimes, even non vegetarians want something light and fresh. So, here are a few things to whet your appetite.

There’s a gorgeous Barley Salad, with Yogurt, Lemon, Mint, Currants, Grape, Cucumber and house pickled Red Onion. It’s perfect on those warm summer mornings on the patio.
Then there’s the Baked Eggs. Served in a skillet, with some lovely rustic toasts, the Eggs are baked with Goat Cheese, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, Olives, and Basil. It’s garnished with some pretty Borage flowers, which are totally edible, and taste mildly of cucumber.

Isn’t that lovely?
We LOVE Kale. It’s so good for you, and so delicious. And its flavor goes so well with so many different things. So here’s a Kale Salad for you to nibble at Brunch. It comes with Fried Capers, Croutons, Parmesan, and an Anchovy Vinaigrette. If you’re a vegetarian, and need the dressing to be different, have a word with your server.
You eat with your eyes first, so….

Another skillet item is the Creamy Grits. If you’re from the South, you’ll know your grits, but we doubt you’ve ever had them like this, with a Baked Egg, Chorizo Bolognese, Cotijo, Piquillo, and Cilantro. Delicious! Seriously, it’s amazing.

Our photographer could not stop digging into this after he shot it. He was losing it over the Chorizo Bolognese and the creamy grits. We can’t say that we blame him.
Of course, sometimes you’re in the mood for something rich, and just a bit naughty. That’s where our breakfast patty comes in.

A big juicy beef patty, with Bacon, Fried Egg, Onion Fondue, Gruyere, Arugula, and Remoulade. There’s a LOT going on in this burger. If the wheels fell off the bus the night before, this might be your perfect hangover cure…
